Day trips and excursions - 01293 41 41 41

19th May 2012 - Calais Shopper

We travel to France by Ferry to the port of Calais.
Here we spend the day visiting all those pretty French Boutiques, Patisseries and Cafés.

A quick hop across the Channel to Calais means you can take advantage of the fantastic shopping opportunities.
Not only can you buy wines and Champagnes at sometimes half the UK price but enjoy cheaper shopping across the board.

Often referred to as the most English town in France, Calais is France's closest point to England.
Enjoy a short crossing to sample the low prices in Cité de l'Europe and the many hypermarkets.
Spend some time in Calais, enjoying its history and hospitality.

Serious shopping is best done along the 4 boulevards.
Boulevard Gambetta, Boulevard La Fayette, Boulevard Jacquard and Boulevard Pasteur.

Calais is also a haven for duty free shopping.
There are several Hypermarkets selling all kinds of goods from beer and cigarettes to food and clothes.

When you have shopped until you can shop no more rejoin the coach for a relaxing journey home.
